Autumn Budget 2025: Tax rises expected as specialist finance industry braces for impact

Ahead of today’s Autumn Budget (26th November), the government confirmed increases to the national minimum and living wages, while setting expectations of new tax measures.


With Chancellor Rachel Reeves set to deliver the Autumn Budget at 12:30 today (26th November), follow the key updates for the specialist finance industry on BTL Insider.

The government announced an increase to national minimum and living wages ahead of the Budget.

Also expected today are a series of small tax changes, particularly concerning increasing taxes on houses worth more than £2m.

Headline rates aren't expected to change, however, a freeze on income tax thresholds could be extended until 2030.
