Paragon Bank has today (27th September) announced it is restructuring its BTL mortgages sales division, with Louisa Sedgwick (pictured above) taking up responsibility for both the sales and products teams.
In addition, Moray Hulme — the bank’s current sales director of mortgages — will be retiring at the end of the year.
As part of the restructure, former TBMC managing director Jane Simpson, and Sally Wright — who was previously the head of intermediary distribution at Hampshire Trust Bank — will join the business as national account managers, two new roles which have been created in the sales function to bolster relationships with networks and clubs.
Jason Wilde will remain in his current role as national sales manager, supported by the existing regional sales team.
The firm made the decision to restructure its BTL mortgages sales function to further enhance relationships with key networks and clubs, as well as the broader intermediary community.
Richard Rowntree, managing director of mortgages at Paragon, said: “We are making a significant investment in its BTL mortgages business – through our digital proposition, people and processes – to improve customer and broker experience and position the bank for the next phase of growth.
“The changes we are implementing today will optimise our sales and operations functions and position the bank for the future.”
Louisa added: “We want to expand our network to become a lender of choice across the market.
“I’m excited that we are putting in place a structure to build on the excellent work undertaken over recent years.”
Commenting on his retirement, Moray said: “It was exciting to be part of a new market when BTL launched in the mid-1990s and subsequently to see the sector develop into the mature market it is today, supporting the growth of the private rented sector and providing a home for millions of people.
“I am looking forward to spending time pursuing my interests, as well as keeping in contact with the many friends I have made in the industry over the past three decades.”
