Afin makes deputy CFO promotion

Afin Bank has promoted Peter Hale (pictured above) to the role of deputy CFO.

Peter joined Afin as head of finance last year and was part of the team that launched the bank in July 2025.

In his new position he will help develop and deliver Afin’s strategic and financial plans, as well as the financial and balance sheet management.

Prior to Afin, Peter was head of finance at FCMB Bank for seven years.

He has also held roles at Ariadne Capital and Sully & Co Chartered Accountants.

“Peter has made a massive impact since he joined Afin and is a vital part of the financial team,” said Charles Resnick, CFO at Afin.

“He has built a solid finance team and infrastructure required for our period of growth, together with supporting on key deliverables required for a new and growing bank.

“This promotion is recognition of all the incredible hard work and dedication shown since joining and the important role he will play in the future of the bank.”

Peter added: “It has been a hugely exciting period for Afin, going from launch last year to now actively helping more borrowers to get a mortgage and offering savings accounts to help customers grow their money.

“Working in a start-up bank can bring challenges, but I really enjoy being part of a fast-paced business and making a difference day-to-day.

“I am delighted to take on this new role and look forward to working with everyone in Afin as we continue to grow the business in the years ahead.”
